Chosen: A Special Needs Moms' Event

As the mom of a special needs child, I understand how difficult it is to find people that can fully relate to the challenges that you face. I've found this parenting journey often feels lonely and finding friendships and free time is often pushed aside because of the demands we face. There's something really special about being connected with other women that "get it" and that's what this event is all about! Cookie decorating has been a therapeutic activity for me for the past 12 years and I'd love to share more about my journey with you, as well as treat you to a cookie decorating class, all while we connect and offer support to one another.

Cost: There isn't a charge for this event, though I will be accepting donations that will go toward the fundraising for the Night to Shine event that will be held at the Chardon United Methodist Church on February 10, 2023. 

Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. It's going to be a spectacular event and I can't wait to tell you more about it when we're together!

• Open to women who have or have had a child that has required special care.
• There is no cost, though donations toward the Night to Shine event will be graciously accepted.
• Each guest will receive a kit of four fall themed cookies, icing and sprinkles to embellish with. Denise will guide you through the decorating process and show you a few decorating tips and tricks!
• The class will NOT be held in the cookie shop. Our cookie classes are now being held in Suites B-11 and B-12 in Woodiebrook Gables, between Guys Pizza and Spinners Diner.
• BYOB! Feel free to bring a snack or drink along and make a night out of this!
