Christmas Cookie Exchange

Get ready for our very first Christmas Cookie Exchange, happening right here in Chardon on Wednesday, December 12th. It's going to be a sweet event that will bring bakers, Christmas fanatics, and cookie enthusiasts together for an evening of tasty adventures! Expect a merry time filled with delicious family recipes, holiday drinks & nibbles, mingling with fellow cookie lovers, and, of course, cookie swapping!

Get your Christmas music ready and find your favorite cookie recipe because every guest must arrive with FIVE DOZEN of their favorite holiday cookies. One dozen of your delectable creations will grace the tasting table, while the remaining four dozen eagerly await the exchange. The sweetest part? You'll leave with 48 cookies to enjoy at home. It's cookie-swapping magic! The event will be capped off at 48 guests. Imagine the variety of cookies we'll have to enjoy!

When does the cookie swap begin? 

The doors open at 6:30 pm and there will be sips, snacks, holiday music and mingling to enjoy once you get checked in. This will be a fun night full of relaxation and community. Get ready to sit back, relax, and spend time with other cookie lovers! All participants need to arrive by 7:00 pm at the very latest with their FIVE DOZEN cookies. 

What kind of cookies can I bring? 

We're open to all sorts of treats – cookies, bars, cut-outs, no-bakes, brownies or rice krispie treats are welcome! Just remember two simple rules: they must be homemade, no store bought treats please. Also, all treats must be comfy at room temperature. Anything that needs to chill (cheesecake, custards, etc.) won't make the cut.

When do I need to decide on my cookie? When you buy your ticket, we'd love to have a brief description. If you need a little more time to decide, please get in touch with Denise (d4dcookies@gmail.com) by December 1st.

What should I use to bring my cookies in? Any container works.  No worries about presentation; we'll be re-plating your cookies, so you don't need to worry about it.  Everyone will be taking their cookies home on a new platter with a dome lid. 

Will there be alcohol? We won't be serving alcohol, but you're welcome to bring your favorite drink along. We will be serving coffee, cider and mocktails.  Cheers to cookies and good times!

Will this be held in the cookie shop? No, this cookie exchange will not be held at D is for Delicious, but will be a few doors down in our event/class space: 602 South Street, Suites B-11 and B-12 in Woodiebrook Gables, between Guys Pizza and Spinners Diner in Chardon
