sprinkling sweetness wherever we go.
Let’s Make Cookies was created in loving memory of our dear friend Lauren Michelle Cornelison (L.M.C). Over the years, our cookies have connected us to SO many incredible people, and we met Lauren at one of our cookie classes. At the time, Lauren was battling cancer but frequently started coming to more and more classes, and we noticed her natural skill for decorating.
Lauren shared with us that decorating cookies was a relaxing escape for her. She would forget about her diagnosis and any worries or pains. From there, Lauren became a member of our team and would often come back to help on busier weeks continuing to pursue her knack for cookie decorating.
With a sweet tooth and a big heart, anything is possible.
As Lauren’s journey was nearing its end, we discussed how her legacy could continue. Lauren put us in touch with the Cleveland Clinic art therapist, where she had received her treatments, and we started to make cookie kit deliveries to organizations like hospitals and other groups that could use a reason to smile.
Cookie Decorating & Art Therapy
We wish to gift individuals and their families with cookie decorating kits to help take their minds off diagnoses and treatments so they can relax and escape for a little while and experience cookie decorating as a form of art therapy, as Lauren did. And from there, Let’s Make Cookies, named for her initials, L.M.C., was born.
